Synthesis and antibacterial activity of nickel(II), zinc(II) and copper(II) complexes with 2-(thiomethyl-2' -benzimidazolyl)-1,3-diazacyclopentadec-Δ' -ene

Six-coordinated Ni^II , Cu^II and Zn^II complexes have been prepared by one-pot synthesis using metal acetates, 2- chloromethylbenzimidazole (L₁) and 2-mercapto-1,3-dlazacyclopentadcc-Δ'-ene (L₂). Ligands and complexes have been evaluated for their antibacterial activity.
