Metal complexes formed by the interaction of bis(furfuryl-2-aldehyde) thiosemicarbazonc [FAL TSC], bis(indole-3-aldehyde) thiosemicarbazone [IALTSC], bis(3-methyl salicylaldehyde) thiosemicarbazone [MSALTSC], bis(S-methyl salicylaldehyde) thiosemicarbazone [M'SALTSC] and bis(S-bromo salicylaldehyde) thiosemicarbazone [BSALTSC] with oxovanadium(Iv), oxo·molybdenum(v) and managanese(n) chloride have been prepared. The complexes have been characterised by IR, electronic spectra,ESR spectra, TGA, molar conductance and magnetic moment. These studies indicate octahedral geometry around the metal ion.The complexes were also screened for biological activities.
