Glycosmis albicarpa (Rutaceae: Clauseneae), a new species from southern Western Ghats, India
Description
A new species, Glycosmis albicarpa Sujana & Vadhyar from Kanyakumari wildlife sanctuary of southern Western Ghats, India is described and illustrated. It differs from all other species of Glycosmis by the short and broadly lanceolate leaves, short (3–5 mm long) peduncles, clawed petals and broadly ovoid white fruits. The description is complemented with color photographs, micromorphology of pollen and seed under SEM.
