Description

The development of national socio-economic systems is a multidimensional and multilevel process that contains destabilizing factors, which leads to periodic recurrence of crisis phenomena in the economy. An effective way to protect national socio-economic systems from global instability is to create regional integration systems that regulate public relations in the international political and economic arena. Ukraine, as a developing economy, is objectively interested in developing mutually beneficial economic relations with partner countries. The European Union is a union of independent states that have the most institutionally developed form of regional integration, so it is necessary to analyze the prospects of Ukraine's integration into the EU. The Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU outlined Ukraine's choice to follow the European model of socio-economic development. The purpose of this study is to highlight trends, structural changes and problems in the development of foreign economic relations of Ukraine. Globalization processes, strengthening economic and political integration are the defining characteristics of the modern world economy. The opening of markets for goods, services, investment, innovation and other resources leads to large-scale transnationalization and determines the liberal format of interstate cooperation. Under such conditions, the multipolar system of international relations on the world stage has significantly influenced the change in Ukraine's foreign policy and foreign economic priorities.

Strengthening international competition in commodity markets, low competitiveness of Ukrainian products; consumer requirements for the quality of goods, in which price factors have become secondary, and the factors of new technologies and product quality guarantees - primary; application of forms of protectionism and discrimination of Ukrainian exporters by competing countries, in particular, complicating the procedure of product certification; the difficulty of entering into international cooperation due to non-compliance with international standards for the protection of intellectual property rights, etc.
