Methodological bases of operations research in modeling the development of economic systems

The subject of the study is the theoretical and methodological basis for the study of operations.
The purpose of the research is to generalize the methodology of research of development of
economic systems by mathematical methods and models.
Research methods. The work uses a set of scientific methods and economic theories, including
system analysis, hierarchy analysis method, decision tree method in order to make effective
management decisions and visualize them, that is, presenting them for adoption.
Field of application of results. Applied economics, economic cybernetics, digital economy,
management.
Results of work. The article focuses on the methodology of operations research and the justified
need to form a scientifically based strategy for its innovation and investment development. The problem
solution is illustrated and the practical value of using hierarchy analysis and decision tree methods to
make effective managerial decisions in modern conditions has been proved.
Findings. The article focuses on the need to predict the socio–economic processes of a scientifically
based approach based on the methodology for studying the development of economic systems by
mathematical methods and models. The risks of modernity are analyzed, which are caused by a number
of socio–economic conditions and unresolved geopolitical discussions, as well as, unfortunately, a
protracted pandemic. The necessity of formation of a modern strategy for the development of the
national economy, which is a prerequisite for further research, is substantiated.
