The article decodes about the Temples and Rituals of Sand Established Female Deities in Ma.Pothanathi of Madurai district. A direct survey had been done to get the real facts behind the temples. There are many reasons for establishing the temples by takingthe sand from the original temples. The reasons are also discussed in the paper.
