Xylergates Bates, 1864: 20; Giorgi & Corbett, 2005: 5 (syn.).
Type species — Xylergates lacteus Bates, 1864 (subsequent designation, Lane, 1957: 7).
Xylergatina Gilmour, 1962: 269.
Type species — Xylergates pulcher Lane, 1957 (original designation).
Diagnosis. Body robust; prothorax with lateral tubercles placed centrally; pronotum with three tubercles; elytra without centrobasal crest or longitudinal carina; elytra with setose granules all over the surface; basal metatarsomere as long as next two together. Number of species currently included: 5.
