The metal complexes of CaII, CoII and Cull with Schiff base of cephalexin (salicylidene cephalexin) of the type ML2 (where M = CaII, CoII or CuII and L = Schiff base of cephalexin) have been prepared via Schiff have obtained by the condensation of cephalexin with salicylaldehyde. They form 2 : 1 ligand to metal complexes with CaII , CoII and CuII, as indicated by conductometric titrations. The complexes have been characterized by various physicochemical techniques such as elemental analysis, molar conductance and spectral analysis such as mass. UV and JR.
