FEMALE (5 specimens measured). Dorsal shield 355 (333–395) long and 266 (237–300) wide; j1 30 (28–35), j3 65 (60–75), j4 6 (5–8), j5 5 (4–7), j6 9 (7–12), J5 9 (8–10), z2 46 (40–60), z4 26 (22–30), z5 5 (5–7), Z1 23 (20–30), Z4 108 (103–115), Z5 93 (90–95), s4 96 (92–105), S2 21 (20–25), S4 13 (12–15), S5 11 (10–13), r3 23 (22–25), R1 11 (10–12); distances between st1-st3 55, st2-st2 75 (73–78) and st5-st5 91 (74–105); ventrianal shield 106 (100–115) long, 113 (105–132) wide at level of ZV2 and 108 (98–130) wide at level of anus; JV5 82 (77–85); movable cheliceral digit 32 long, with 1 tooth; fixed cheliceral digit 30 (29–30) long, with 6 teeth; calyx of spermatheca 17 (15–19) long; Sge III 30 (29–30), Sge IV 60 (55–70), Sti IV 43 (35–55), St IV 79 (70–85).

Specimens examined: Piracicaba (22°41' S, 47°37' W,) February 2008, on B. decumbens (1 Ƥ). Turmalina, (20°00' S, 50°26' W), April 2008, on B. brizantha (2 Ƥ). Palestina (20°17' S, 49°03' W), June 2008, on B. brizantha (1 Ƥ). Campinas (22°54' S, 47°01' W), June 2008, on B. decumbens (1 Ƥ).

Remarks: This species was previously known from Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Marie Galante, Martinique, New Caledonia, Paraguay, USA and Zaire. Measurements of the specimens collected are close to those of the holotype, provided by Moraes & McMurtry (1983), except that S4 is about 0.6 times as long as S4 of the type specimens. Setae S4 are shorter in specimens from Colombia, Cuba and Ecuador (Moraes et al. 1991)
