Material examined. GEORGIA: Lechkhumi ridge (41), 29.iv.2014, D. Zherebilo (1 ♂, 1 ♀); Khevsureti (47), 19.vii.2014, D. Zherebilo (32 ♂, 54 ♀); same locality, western slope of Chokismta-Matura (49), 23.vii.2014, D. Zherebilo (41 ♂, 67 ♀). SOUTH OSSETIA: Gudissky ridge (44), 21.vii.2013, D. Zherebilo (6 ♂, 6 ♀).
Diagnosis. This species is distinguished by the weak ocellar bristles, nearly twice shorter than postpronotal bristles, scutum brown with blue pruinescence on postpronotal lobe and notopleuron, acrostichals extending to third dorsocentral seta, 5 pairs of dorsocentrals without intermediate setae interspersed among primary setae, fore femur without strong bristles apically; terminalia large, clasping cercus long and unilobed, projecting perpendicular to epandrium.
Distribution. PALAEARCTIC: Caucasus: Georgia, South Ossetia.
Remarks. This high-mountain species is active from April to July, and is common in high-altitude streams and rivers (2500–3000 m a.s.l.), but is known from lower elevations (770 m a.s.l) in early spring.
