Diagnosis. Adult (Fig. 8) with wingspan 20.0 – 30.5 mm. This species is characterized by the sella ventrally directed and apically far exceeding the ventral margin of the valva in the male genitalia (Fig. 17), and the narrow antrum with setae on the straight posterior margin, and the horn-shaped membranous sacs from between the antrum and the ductus bursae curved backward in the female genitalia (Fig. 24).
Host plants. Phyllostachys bambusoides Sieb. et Zucc., P. nigra var. henonis Stape, P. pubescens Mazel, P. nigra Munro (Kim & Lee, 1986).
Distribution. China (Gansu, Guangdong, Guizhou, Hebei, Hubei, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Liaoning, Ningxia, Shanxi, Sichuan), Korea, Japan, Russia (Ussuri), Europe.
Ecology. Caught in lowland from 430 m to 700 m, in mountains from 800 m to 2600 m. Flight period from end of May to early October.
