Phlugiolopsis xinanensis Bian, Shi & Chang sp. nov.

Figure 9; Map 2

Male. Body small. Fastiguim verticis conical, apex obtusely rounded, furrowed in middle. Eyes subglobular, projecting outwards.

Anterior margin of pronotum faintly prominent, posterior margin narrowly rounded; lateral lobes longer than high, humeral sinus absent.

All femora without spines on ventral margins. Procoxae with a spine; protibiae with 4 pairs of spines on ventral surface and a pair of ventral apical spurs; tibial tympana open on both sides, ovoid. Mesotibiae with 4 spines on anterior and 5 spines of posterior margin of ventral surface separately, and a pair of apical spurs on ventral surface. Genicular lobes of postfemora with apices obtuse; posttibiae with 21–22 pairs of spines on inner and outer sides of dorsal surface, and a pair of dorsal apical spurs and 2 pairs of ventral apical spurs.

Tegmina short, slightly surpassing posterior margin of pronotum, reaching the middle area of third abdominal tergite. Hind wings absent.

Posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite faintly concave in middle. Basal half of cerci stout, interno-dorsal margin with a broad, flat and aequilate lobe, middle area without deep notch on dorsal margin, slightly expanded on ventral margin, apical half spine-shaped, pointed interno-dorsad, apex slightly pointed. Subgenital plate subtrapezoid, longer than wide, basal area comparatively wide, basal margin with nearly obtuse-angular middle incision; lateral margins bent dorsad, posterior margin almost truncate; with subconical styli on ventral margin of subapex, the apices obtusely rounded.

Female. Similar to male appearance, slightly larger. Posterior margin of eighth abdominal tergite obviously concave; ninth abdominal tergite faintly broad, lateral areas slightly expanded, protruding backwards; tenth abdominal tergite short and small. Pronotal disc with a brown stripe in middle, widened in metazona, outer area with 1 pairs of black brown stripes, reaching the middle area of metazona. Apices of femora, ventral spines of tibiae and whole tarsi light brown. Lateral margin of abdominal tergites black, sterna light brown.

Measurements (mm). Body: 7.6–8.3, 8.7–8.9; pronotum: 3.5–3.7, 4.3–4.6; tegmen: 1.7–1.9, 1.3– 1.5; postfemur: 7.4–7.9, 8.6–8.9; ovipositor: 5.7–5.9.

Typical material. Holotype, , Xin ′an, Anlong, Guizhou, 27 August, 2012, coll. Zeyu Wang. Paratypes, 2 5 , the other information as the holotype.

Distribution. China (Guizhou)

Discussion. The new species is most closely related to P. brevis Xia & Liu, 1993. It differs from the latter species in: basal half of male cerci stout, interno-dorsal margin with a broad, flat and aequilate lobe, middle area without deep notch on dorsal margin, slightly expanded on ventral margin, apical half spine-shaped, pointed interno-dorsad, apex slightly pointed; male subgenital plate subtrapezoid, longer than wide, basal area comparatively wide, basal margin with nearly obtuse-angular middle incision; lateral margins bent dorsad, posterior margin almost truncate; female subgenital plate subtriangular, basal margin comparatively straight, lateral margin curved ventrad, posterior margin obtusely rounded.

Etymology. Named after the type locality of the new species, Xin ′an, in Guizhou Province.
