Distribution. Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, and Vietnam (cf. Table 1).

Remarks. Uca arcuata is widely distributed in continental East Asia (Korea, China, and Vietnam), East Asian islands (Japan, including the Ryukyus, Taiwan, and Penghu), and Hainan (cf. Table 1; Kamita 1941; Dai et al. 1986; Dai & Yang 1991; Shih 1994; Kosuge et al. 1997; Yoshigou 2001; Shih et al. 2008). It is probably one of the most common species in East Asia, especially on mudflats associated with mangroves (cf. Shih et al. 1999). In China, this species has been recorded from southern Shandong to Guangxi and northern Hainan (Table 1).
