Type-species: A. anthracinus Pocock, 1895, by subsequent designation (cf. Jeekel 1971: 216).
= Paranedyopus Carl, 1932, synonymized by Golovatch (2000). Type-species: P. subcylindricus Carl, 1932.
= Himantogonus Carl, 1932, synonymized by Jeekel (1968). Type-species: H. rufocinctus Carl, 1932.
= Akribosoma Carl, 1935, synonymized by Golovatch (1984). Type-species: A. cylindrica (recte: cylindricum) Carl, 1932. = Jonespeltis Verhoeff, 1936, synonymized by Attems (1937). Type-species: J. splendidus Verhoeff, 1936.
