Description
Caucalis platycarpos Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 241. 1753.
"Habitat in Italia, Monspelii." RCN: 1939.
Replaced synonym of: Caucalis daucoides L. (1767), nom. illeg., non L. (1753).
Lectotype (Heywood in Agron. Lusit. 22: 11. 1960): Herb. Clifford: 91, Caucalis 3 (BM-000558249).
Current name: Caucalisplatycarpos L. (Apiaceae).
Note: Greuter (in Greuter & Rechinger in Boissiera 13: 92. 1967) provides an extensive discussion.
