Black Hagfish.To 66.2cm (26in)TL (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California). South-eastern Alaska (Wisner and McMillan 1990) to Islas San Benito, central Baja California (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California). Benthic; depth: 52–2,743 m (171–8,997 ft) (min.: Bradburn et al. 2011; max.: Wisner and McMillan 1990).
