Batillipes roscoffensis nov. sp. (Kristensen 1978a)

Terra typica: Celtic Sea (France, Europe)

Celtic Sea:

48°43′N, 04°00′W; 0 m bsl: [FAO27] Type locality: France, Brittany Region, D’Aber [L’Aber] de Roscoff, Leptosynapta galliennei biotope. Kristensen (1978a)

Remarks: This species has a caudal groove replacing the caudal spike, and a unique dorsal sculpture only visible with SEM (see Kristensen 1978a). The species is known only from the type locality where just three specimens were collected.
