Inca clathrata clathrata (Olivier, 1792)
Inca clathratus: Hayward 1935 –1936: 77 (distribution, natural history).
Literature food record. RGENTINA: Misiones: (Puerto Aguirre, currently Puerto Iguazú), summer 1933–1934, Hayward leg., 4 exx., feeding on sap of tree (Hayward 1935 –1936).
New food record. ARGENTINA: Salta: Dto. Orán, Ruta Provincial 19, km 4, J. Carreras leg., 15-I-2002, 1 male, 1 female (JCDT), 16-I-2002, 1 male, 1 female (JCDT), 30-I-2008, 1 male (LABA), 9-II-2008, 1 female (LABA), feeding sap on Salix humboldtiana, together with Archaeoprepona demophon (Linnaeus, 1758), and Historis odius orion (Fabricius, 1775) (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae) (Joaquín Carreras, personal observation).
Note. The exact place of the observation by Hayward (1935 –1936) was not given. The collecting trip was financed by Alberto Breyer, whose insect collection (except Lepidoptera) was deposited at MACN. Therefore, the locality of this observation is referred here according to the specimens of Hemirhipus lineatus (Olivier, 1790) (Coleoptera: Elateridae) from the Breyer Collection at MACN, found together with I. clathrata (Table 9). Nevertheless, the corresponding specimens of I. clathrata were not located at MACN.
