Sudis hyalina Rafinesque, 1810: 60, Pl. 1, fig. 2. Type locality: Sicily, Italy. Sudis hyalina, Corsini-Foka, 2009: 128.
Material examined. 6 spec., TAU 13068, Israel, off Haifa, 032°55.7'N, 034°20'E, 1480 m, coll. Galil, 21 October 2004.
Distribution. Atlantic, Mediterranean and southern Pacific; depth range of 200–2000 m. This is the first record of the species off the Israeli coast and a depth record for the Mediterranean.
