Stress and Stress Management in European Crisis Managers

  • 1. Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany
  • 2. UMIT - University of Health Sciences, Medical Informatics and Technology, Hall, Austria

Description

When a disaster strikes, all units involved have to consolidate their efforts to ensure a comprehensive and effective disaster management. While the majority of research addresses the work environment and stress of first responders such as fire and rescue workers, only few studies place an additional focus on the specific stressors and stress management strategies of crisis managers.
