Description

Isthmopsocus foliatus n. sp.

(Figs 80–89)

Diagnosis. Phallosome (Fig. 84) with three endophallic sclerites, two lateral, similar in shape and a central one, of different shape. Gonapophyses (Fig. 89), wide at base, narrowing distally, acuminate; subgenital plate (Fig. 87) broad, setose, with a small concavity apically.

Description. Male. Color. Head (Fig. 82) brown yellowish, with brown spots on vertex, genae, postclypeus and epistomal sulcus. Compound eyes black, ocelli hyaline. Wings (Figs 80–81) almost hyaline, with a light orange hue, pterostigma opaque, veins pale brown.

Morphology. As in diagnosis, plus the following: posterior border of clunium, over the area of the epiproct (Fig. 85), with a dense field of small papillae. Hypandrium (Fig. 83) anteriorly wide, with sides converging to pointed apex, setae as illustrated. Paraprocts oval, sensory fields with 26 trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct subtriangular, with setae on distal half.
