Strigamia hirsutipes Attems 1927

Description

Strigamia hirsutipes (Attems, 1927)

References for morphology: Attems 1927, 1938; Verhoeff 1935; Takakuwa 1938, 1940.

Taxonomic notes. Described originally as a species of Scolioplanes, it was assigned to Strigamia by Crabill (1953). Other specimens have been identified, and the validity of the species has never been questioned.

Distribution: Sakhalin island, Hokkaido and Honshu. Published records from Indochina (Laos, Vietnam) are quite likely erroneous and based on specimens of a different species of Strigamia, whose identity is uncertain.
