Description
Promethichthys prometheus (Cuvier in Cuvier & Valenciennes 1832) —Roudi escolar
Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM material (1 specimen, St. CP 4445-2, northeast of New Hanover).
Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: circumglobal in tropical and warm temperate seas. Benthopelagic, 80–800 m depth. Marine.
