Cirripectes stigmaticus Strasburg & Schultz 1953 —Reticulated blenny
Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a video of a specimen taken west of Albatross Passage, southwestern Kavieng District, St. KR50, in 2014 (identified by Barry C. Russell).
Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: East Africa, Madagascar and western Mascarenes east to Marshall Islands, Samoa and Tonga, north to Ryukyu Islands, south to Western Australia and New Caledonia. Found on the upper edge of seaward reef slopes, 1–20 m depth. Marine.
