Description
Filimanus heptadactyla (Cuvier in Cuvier & Valenciennes 1829) —Seven-finger threadfin
Status at New Ireland. First recorded from Matanalaua River, New Hanover as Polydactylus heptadactylus by Munro (1958: 157).
Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Malay Peninsula east to Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea. Found in turbid coastal waters, and estuaries, 1–25 m depth. Transitional water and marine.
