Lethrinus reticulatus Valenciennes in Cuvier & Valenciennes 1830 —Redsnout emperor
Status at New Ireland. New record, based on a specimen collected at Kavieng Fish Market by Barry C. Russell in 2014.
Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 2.—General distribution: Chagos Archipelago, Andaman Sea and Indonesia east to Philippines, north and Ryukyu Islands. Found in the vicinity of coral reefs, 5–30 m depth. Marine.
