Description

A collection of the Luftwaffe aerial reconnaissance photos of Swansea. Between 1939 and 1941, the German air force flew survey missions over all Welsh ports and Swansea was a target of intermittent bombing between 1940 and 1943, with a heave attack in February 1941. With illustrations and explanatory text. The photographs cover industrial and landscape history as well as documenting the destruction.
