IMPLEMENTATION OF 7S TOOL IN PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS OF ROSARIO EAST DISTRICT

Description

This study determined the implementation of 7S tool in public elementary schools of Rosario East District in the Division of Batangas Province. The respondents of the study were the 163 elementary school teachers of the Rosario East District of the Division of Batangas. The study employed a descriptive correlational design in order to identify the relationship between the extent of school’s manifestation practices and the degree of utilization of 7S tool implementation for schools’ improvement. Results revealed that 7S tool implementation was greatly manifested in existing programs and Information, Education and Communication (IEC) but revealed to be moderately evident in terms of facilities due to the demands in the resources which the respondents perceive to be lacking in their schools. From among the 7S tools, sort was found to be moderately manifested while the rest were highly manifested which suggest that there may be a possible difficulty concerning such area thus clear action steps has to be undertaken. The 7s implementation has significant contribution in the school’s improvement in terms of quality, productivity and safety. From among the 7S tools, safety was found to significantly predict school improvement in terms of quality, productivity, and safety. Sort was found to be significant contribute to quality while sustain, safety, and spirit as a significant predictor to school improvement in terms of safety. The problems and challenges encountered by the respondents in the implementation of 7S tool centered on resources and time management. In the light of the findings, a proposed strategy package was devised in order to strengthen the 7s tool implementation of Rosario East District in line with school improvement.
