Description

Dissertation submitted to comply with the requirements for MSc in City Design and Social Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). The thesis explores the notion of unequal urbanisation in cities lacking a metropolitan government reviewing the case studies of Santiago, London and Bogota. It concludes by suggesting that in the case of Santiago the most important design problem is the design of a governance structure that can help rebalance inequalities and give the city a democratic voice.
