Ä l t e r e F u n d e: Sierning, 1972 (Rottinger).
O L M L: Grünau, 1907 (Munganast); Molln, 1909 (Munganast).
Heute fast Kosmopolit; im Freien in alten, morschen Laubbäumen, unter faulenden und schimmelnden Vegetabilien, in Komposthaufen, oft auch in Ställen. Larven wie Käfer sind Schimmelfresser.
