Stenus collaris SHARP, 1876: 376; HERMAN 2001: 2132.
Material: TRINIDAD: 10♂♂, 14♀♀: Debe, 17.VI.1969, Spangler (USNM, cP). VENEZUELA: 1♀: Guarico, San Fernando, 12.II.1969, Spangler (USNM). BOLIVIEN: 1♀: Santa Cruz, Ayacucho, 13.(14.V.1969, idem (ib); 1♂: Cuatro Ojos, IX. 1917 (FMCh); 1♂: 14 km SW Portachuelo, at light, 24.III.1971, G.B. Marshall (ib). PARAGUAY: 1♀: Dep. Cordillera, San Bernardino, 7 km W, Ufer des Lago Yparacai, 2.II.1985, U. Drechsel (cP); dieses Weibchen zeigt eine etwas andere Kontur des 10. Tergits als die übrigen Tiere (Abb. 144).
Bisher aus Brasilien und Surinam bekannt gewesen.
