Ocnerodrilus occidentalis sinensis Eisen, 1900: 115, synonymized by Michaelsen (1900).

Ocnerodrilus tenellulus Gates, 1945a: 223, synonymized by Gates (1972).

Type locality. USA (Californica, Fresno County).

Type material. USNM, USA.

Records from Vietnam. Widely found in central and north Vietnam (Thai 2000b).

Distribution. Pan-tropical, especially if all the reports of various parthenogenetic morphs are included, less frequently found in temperate regions (Blakemore 2002).

Vietnamese name. Giun ocnero phưƠng tây.

Remarks. The species probably originates from the neotropical regions (Gates 1972). In Vietnam, it is usually found in wet soils (Thai 2000b).
