Colaptes campestris (Vieillot, 1818)

Observations. ARGENTINA • Multiple ♂ and ♀; Corrientes, La Cruz, Paraje Tres Cerros; 29°09′20′′S, 056°51′43′′W. We observed several individuals foraging on the open grounds and grasslands and perching on tree branches.
Identification. Fairly terrestrial woodpecker. Identified by its both sides of the head, breast and neck, yellow. Crown black and malar red in male.
