Figure 10 in An osteology-based appraisal of the phylogeny and evolution of kangaroos and wallabies (Macropodidae: Marsupialia)

Description

Figure 10. Stratigraphic distribution and genus-level phylogeny of the Macropodidae. Horizontal bars denote generic ranges. Vertical bars indicate that first- or last-known appearances of genera have been reliably dated. Otherwise, ranges have been approximated from the most widely accepted published age estimates for strata yielding these taxa (largely derived using biocorrelation and stage-of-evolution biochronology; e.g. see Archer et al., 1995; Megirian et al., 2004; Travouillon et al., 2006). Clade divergence times are speculative, but have been guided by taxon ranges and the degree of morphological evolution characterizing successive clades.
