Aidoia Spaeth 1952

Description

Aidoia Spaeth, 1952

Aidoia Spaeth, 1952 in HINCKS (1952): 439 (original description).

Type species. Coptocycla nubilosa Boheman, 1855, by monotypy.

Remarks. Aidoia is a monotypic genus traditionally placed in the tribe Cassidini. Since Aidoia nubilosa has a strongly transverse head with small eyes situated in front of mouthparts and prolonged ultimate tarsomere with long tarsal claws similar to other Ischyrosonychini, I transfer it to the latter tribe.
