Description
Trinoton querquedulae (Linnaeus, 1758)
Reports: [1] Touleshkov (1958); [2] Touleshkov (1964a).
Synonyms: Trinoton lituratum Burmeister [1]; Trinoton luridum Burmeister [1]; Trinoton nyrocae Eichler [2].
Hosts: Anas acuta L. [1]; A. crecca L. [1]; Aythya ferina (L.) [2]; Mergellus albellus (L.) [1].
Distribution in Bulgaria: Chelopechene (Sofia Region), Kubratovo (Sofia Region), Chepinci, Ravno Pole (Sofia Region) [1]; Elhovo [2].
Lice of Trinoton identified to the generic level only were reported from Tachybaptus ruficollis (Pallas), Anas platyrhynchos L. and Anas querquedula L. (see Touleshkov, 1964a).
