Brachysomophis longipinnis McCosker & Randall, 2001:23, figs. 5, 7–8, 13 (type locality: Taiwan Strait, ca. 50 m). Ho & Shao, 2011:23, table 1; McCosker & Ho, 2014:96.
Remarks. This species was originally described from the single holotype. McCosker & Ho (2014) reported two additional specimens recently collected in southwestern Taiwan.
