Gelastocoris fuscus Martin, 1929

Geographical distribution: Colombia, Suriname, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Paraguay.

Distribution in Brazil: North Region (AM) (Martin 1929; Todd 1972).

Comments: Gelastocoris martinezi De Carlo, 1954, from Bolivia, was considered a junior-synonym of G. fuscus by Todd (1955) and Schnack & Estévez (1979), but not by Nieser (1975).
