Muiralevu reticulatus Zelazny, sp. nov.

Description. Forewings 2.3 times longer than wide, length in male 4.2–4.7 mm. Colour stramineous to light brown; margins of facial carinae orange-brown. Forewings not powdered, clear, with narrow bands of infuscation along the brown veins. Hindwings with brown veins in apical part. Rostrum reaching hind-coxae. Forewings with Sc+R fork before middle of wing; base of Cu1 connected to base of Ms1 by a very short cross-vein, Ms1 branched a short distance behind apex of basal median cell, base of Ms1a angulated and connected to M by a cross-vein. Hindwings with tip of R branched. Pygofer with short and pointed lateral projections. Aedeagus with apical portion curved ventrad, bearing two contiguous and spatulate apical lobes.

Etymology. The species name is a Latin adjective (reticulatus, -a, -um = net-like).

Type material. Holotype ♂ (forewing 4.2 mm), WEST MALAYSIA; labels: 1) MALAYA (N)/ Perak, Maxwell / Hill, 1350 m./ III-17–20-'58 2) T. C. Maa / Collector / BISHOP (BPBM). Paratype. WEST MALAYSIA: Pahang, Cameron Highlands, Mt. Brinchang, 1900–2000 m, 1–9.I.1959, 1 ♂ (fw. 4.7), L.W. Quate (BPBM).

Distribution. West Malaysia.

Diagnosis. Muiralevu reticulatus can be recognized by the clear forewings having brown veins which are accompanied by narrow bands of infuscation. The structure of the male genitalia is similar to that of M. maestus sp. nov. and M. dimidius sp. nov., both also found in West Malaysia.
