Distribution. Austria, Canada, Germany, Greece, Italy, Turkey and U.S.A. (Koch 1841; Franz & Beier 1948; Summers & Price 1961; Gerson 1972; Wood 1972a, 1973; MacLean et al. 1978; Kapaxidi & Papadoulis 1999; Doġan 2005; Faraji et al. 2007).
Remarks. This species can be distinguished from known species by the shape of the dorsal ornamentation, the presence of humeral callosities and seta 4a, the shape of setae c 2, and the number of aggenital setae. General features of our specimens are as in the other specimens of the species.
