Myrmica punctiventris Roger, 1863

Distribution in North Carolina: All regions. Counties: AL, AV, BL, GU, HA, MD, NA, WK, WT, WY, YY (material examined) and BN, CA, CR, DU, HO, IR, JA, MA, ME, MO, OR, SW, TR (in literature).

Distribution in surrounding states: GA (Ipser et al. 2004, Francoeur 2007), SC (Davies 2009), TN (Francoeur 2007, Lessard et al. 2007) and VA (Francoeur 2007, Kjar 2009).

Myrmica sp. new species (rarely collected species)

Distribution in North Carolina: Coastal Plains. County: MD (material examined).

Distribution in surrounding states: Unknown from surrounding states.

Myrmica spatulata Smith M.R., 1930 * (rarely collected species)

Distribution in North Carolina: Piedmont Plateau. County: DU (material examined).

Distribution in surrounding states: GA (Ipser et al. 2004), TN (Davis and Zigler 2012) and VA (Fisher 2002).
