Vittacus cornusis Xue, Song & Hong, 2010b: 32–35.

Type material. 5 females and 9 males (slide number NJAUAcariEri310), from Cornus officinalis Sieb. et Zucc. (Cornaceae), Changqing Nature Reserve, Yang County, Shaanxi Province, P. R. China, 33°35'23' N, 107°32'26' E, elevation 1083m, 8 August 2005, coll. Xiao-Feng Xue & Zi-Wei Song.

New material. 6 females and 2 males (slide number NJAUAcariEri274), from Cornus officinalis Sieb. et Zucc. (Cornaceae), The Foping National Natural Reserve, Foping County, Shaanxi Province, P. R. China, 33°30'48' N, 107°58'52' E, elevation 766m, 5 September 2004, coll. Xiao-Feng Xue and Zi-Wei Song.

Host. Cornus officinalis Sieb. et Zucc. (Cornaceae).

Relation to host. Vagrant.

Distribution. China (Shaanxi).
