ORIGINALLY INCLUDED SPECIES: Myophthiria reduvioides Rondani, 1875.
TYPE SPECIES: Myophthiria reduvioides Rondani, 1875, by monotypy.
CURRENT STATUS: Valid genus [teste Maa (1989: 786)].
FAMILY: HIPPOBOSCIDAE.
EMENDATIONS: Myiophthiria Ferris, 1930: 547 (unjustified).
