ORIGINALLY INCLUDED SPECIES: Cirillia angustifrons Rondani, 1856.
TYPE SPECIES: Cirillia angustifrons Rondani, 1856, by original designation.
CURRENT STATUS: Junior synonym of Phyto Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 [teste Pape (1986: 23)].
FAMILY: RHINOPHORIDAE.
REMARKS: Rondani (1856: unpaginated errata) corrected his spelling of the type species from Cirillia ancustifrons (page 80) to Cirillia angustifrons. Cirillia is treated as a valid genus by Herting (1993: 110) but this is because the cutoff date for the Palaearctic catalog manuscript was 31 December 1982, so the information in Pape (1986) could not be included.
EMENDATIONS: Cyrillia Bezzi & Stein, 1907: 436 (unjustified).
