Agrostocynips diastrophi Buffington 2004, n. comb.

Description

Agrostocynips diastrophi (Ashmead), n. comb.

Ganaspis diastrophi Ashmead 1896: 184–185.

The original description states ‘Reared from blackberry gall, Diastrophus cuscutaeformis O.S.’ All known species of Agrostocynips are leafminer parasitoids (Diptera: Agromyzidae); it is probable the described specimens (holotype and paratype) emerged from leafminers accompanying the vegetation in which the gall was formed.
