Phortica (Ashima) nigrifoliiseta: Chen & Máca, 2012: 507.

Diagnosis. Surstylus with approximately 8 apically blunt, peg-like teeth (ch.37-0); both anterior postgonites basally with strongly sclerotized, large flaps asymmetric in shape.

Supplementary description (not repeating characters common to P. spinosa). Supracervical setae 27–29. Arista with arb = 2/0. Cibarial, medial sensilla approximately 9 per side; posterior sensilla approximately 6 per side. Abdominal sternite III wider than long (ch.22-1). Pregonite with sensilla on submedial portion (ch.52-1). Posterior postgonite only on right side of aedeagal sheath; left, anterior postgonite apically strongly sclerotized and bifurcated, but right one not.

Specimen examined. Malaysia: holotype ♂, Silau Silau Trail, Mt. Kinabalu, Sabah, 27.vi.1972, E. Momma leg. (SEHU).

Distribution. Borneo (Sabah).
