fultoni

Meladomus (Lanistes) fultoni Kobelt, 1912a: 6 [1912b: 28, pl. 27, figs. 1, 2]. 28. Type material — holotype [by monotypy]: SMF 7444. Type locality —“Victoria Nyanza” [Lake Victoria]. Distribution —Lake Victoria.

Remarks. The original description was based on a single specimen received from Sowerby and Fulton, which is the holotype by monotypy (Code, Art. 73.1.2). The specimen matches the illustration of Kobelt (1912b: pl. 27, figs. 1, 2). Valid species, teste Pilsbry & Bequaert (1927: 186).
