  • Germain (1907d: 593) gave a full citation of Germain (1907a), listing it as published in 1907, even though there is nothing in Germain (1907a) to indicate that it was published after 1906. Germain (1907a: 234) cited "1907 . . . Etude Mollusques Afrique centrale francaise; Pl. V, fig. 16", which is not the exact title of Germain (1907d) and he did not cite any text page, suggesting that at the time Germain (1907a) was completed only the plates of Germain (1907d) were printed or in proof. It seems, therefore that Germain (1907a), although its printed date is 1906, was not published until 1907, but that it nonetheless was published before Germain (1907d).
