ПРОБЛЕМНЕ ПОЛЕ УКРАЇНСЬКОЇ МЕНТАЛЬНОСТІ У НАУКОВОМУ ІСТОРИЧНОМУ ДИСКУРСІ

In the article historiosophical classic works devoted to the study of Ukrainian mentality. This focuses on the works that consider the political aspects of Ukrainian mentality. In particular, the author cites the work «Ukrainian character and our educational ideal» ( author V. Yaniv). The fact that this work is unlike many other devoted to political aspects of Ukrainian mentality. Based on the completion of specialists on this issue, V. Yaniv offers an interesting explanation of Ukrainians prolonged inability to create their own state. V. Yaniv considered that specific political and mental properties Ukrainian as the root cause of their numerous defeats in state competitions. It is noted that the fate of the newest state in the post-socialist Ukraine will depend on instituting democratic-statist attitudes in the political consciousness of modern Ukrainian political elite and the electorate. Under these conditions the transitional regime people begins to act only source of political power, making it a democratic process of legitimation.
