Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition after the type locality.
Diagnosis. Males of Tupirinna mutum sp. nov. resemble those of T. platnicki sp. nov. by the presence of a subapical embolar reinforcement ring (Fig. 11A), but can be recognized by the presence of a large, blunt sub-apical tegular process superposed to the embolar base (Fig. 11A, B). Females resemble those of T. araguaia sp. nov. by the continuous border of the copulatory opening, but can be recognized by the smaller size of the copulatory opening and by the convex epigynal plate the posterior margin (Figs 11C, D).
